Lincroft, NJ - It all came down to the foul line for the Jersey Blues as they beat the Atlantic Cape Buccaneers 90-86 on Brookdale's home court.
The game was tied 40-40 at the end of the first half, but the seas got rough as the Jersey Blues went up eight points, then down as they allowed the Bucs to get back into the game. The foul line is what made the difference as the Blues went 15-21 on the night with clutch baskets at the end of the game for the win.
Four freshman scored in double figures as forward Clarence Celius captained the group with 15 points, and guard/forward Jelani Carter hit for 13 points. Other crewman guards Dameire Fitch, knocked in 12 points and 10 rebounds while Adam Kukaj dropped 10 points and had four steals. Sophomore guard, David Calloway had a career high seven assists to contribute to the win.
