Lincroft, NJ - Three Brookdale men's soccer players were selected to the 2021 spring All-GSAC Second Team. The trio included freshman forward, Ryan Gannon, sophomore defender, Marlon Morales, and sophomore goalkeeper, Bryan Viegas.
Lincroft, NJ - Two Jersey Blues men's soccer players earned top honors on the 2021 spring season All-Region XIX Team. Sophomore goalkeeper, Bryan Viegas, and freshman forward, Ryan Gannon, both made second team.
Newton, NJ - In the final game of the 2021 spring season, Brookdale men's soccer could not find their legs against the Sussex County College Skylanders in the 8-0 loss. "It was an "off" performance against a quality team, and we paid the price," said Coach Tom Rafferty. The Blues mustered a few quality shots on goal, but the Highlander keeper was equal to the tasks.
Randolph, NJ - Brookdale men's soccer suffered another defeat against the Titans, losing 3-1, at the Community College of Morris. The Blues got off to a slow start, giving up a goal in the first five minutes of the match. The Blues responded by controlling the rest of the period and getting to the break all even.
Cranford, NJ - Freshman forward Ryan Gannon scored his 2nd and 3rd goal of the season on the Union Owl soccer field, however the Blues fell, 4-2.
Tinton Falls, NJ - Brookdale men's soccer suffered a tough loss to the Mercer CCC Vikings despite their strong efforts and freshman midfielder, Brandon Denovaes, hat trick.
Deptford, NJ - The RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners managed to keep the Brookdale Jersey Blues soccer crew scoreless in a tough 9-0 loss on Saturday.
Pitman, NJ - The Blues traveled to play Salem Community College only to find themselves in the shadow of the Mighty Oaks. Brookdale gave up nine goals in a match played at Total Turf, in Pitman NJ.
Branchburg Twp., NJ - Brookdale men's soccer suffered their third defeat at Raritan Valley CC, 5-1. The Blues went down a goal in the first minute of the game off a corner kick, then the Lions scored again late in the half.
Tinton Falls, NJ - The number two team in the Nation came to town and confirmed their rank. Brookdale was outmatched for their season home opener, losing 6-1 to the Camden CC Cougars. Brookdale put up a valiant effort at Capelli Sports Complex.
Edison, NJ - In their season opener, the Brookdale men's soccer team stepped onto the field starting nine freshmen. Despite 10 shots and five corner kicks, the Blues were unable to find the back of the net at Middlesex County College, losing 3-0.
Lincroft, NJ - Head men's soccer coach, Tom Rafferty, escaped the northeast winter cold by getting warmed up in sunny Palm Beach Gardens, FL, while sporting his Jersey Blues polo. Coach is looking forward to the soccer season beginning in March with hopefully the same sunshine!
