Brookdale Plates Nine In Hard-Fought Setback To Cumberland
Vineland, NJ - The Brookdale Jersey Blues baseball team put together a stronger offensive showing in their second game against the RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes, but fell short in a 13-9 conference loss.

Vineland, NJ - The Brookdale Jersey Blues baseball team put together a stronger offensive showing in their second game against the RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes, but fell short in a 13-9 conference loss.
Freshman catcher Gabriel Tomei powered the Brookdale lineup by going 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI. Sophomore designated hitter Casey Gardiner and freshman left fielder Ray Mulhern each added two RBI to help keep the Jersey Blues within striking distance.
Sophomore center fielder Declan Sheehan contributed an RBI double, while freshman shortstop Dawson Smail also drove in a run for Brookdale.
The Jersey Blues now stand at 2-3 and will travel to the Camden Athletic Complex for a nine-inning matchup against the Camden County College Cougars on Saturday, March 14th, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
