Edison, NJ — The Brookdale Community College baseball team opened their three-game series against the Middlesex College Colts with authority, rolling to a 16-6 victory in seven innings behind a dominant late-inning surge.

Freshman first baseman Owen Parillo led the offensive explosion with a standout performance, crushing two home runs and driving in six runs to pace the Brookdale lineup. Sophomore right fielder Gary Perone III contributed a double and added three RBI, while freshman shortstop Dawson Smail continued his strong play, going a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI.
On the mound, sophomore Jeffrey Barham (3-1) delivered a steady outing, pitching 5.0 innings and striking out four to earn the win and keep the Colts in check.
With the win, Brookdale improves to 12-5 on the season and will return home to host the remaining two games of the series against Middlesex College on Saturday, March 28th beginning at 12:00pm.
