Offensive Onslaught Powers Brookdale Past Bucks
Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale baseball delivered a commanding performance at home, defeating the Bucks County Community College Centurions in seven innings, 21-0, to improve to 23-7-1 on the season.
Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale baseball delivered a commanding performance at home, defeating the Bucks County Community College Centurions in seven innings, 21-0, to improve to 23-7-1 on the season.
Sophomore second baseman Ryan Tan led the charge, going 2-for-3 with a double and four RBI. Sophomore right fielder Gary Perone III added a home run in his 2-for-3 performance, driving in three runs. Freshman center fielder Ray Mulhern turned in a standout effort, batting 3-for-4 with a triple and a double for three RBI.
Sophomore Anthony Pizzuti and sophomore DH Casey Gardiner each delivered two triples and drove in two runs apiece, adding to the offensive surge. Freshman catcher Ryan Adams went a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI, while freshman first baseman Thomas Diffley contributed two RBI of his own.
On the mound, sophomore TJ Legere was dominant, throwing a complete game over 7.0 innings, allowing just one hit with no walks while striking out four.
Brookdale will look to carry the momentum on the road as they face the Rockland Community College Hawks on Wednesday, April 15th at 3:30pm.
