Brookdale Overpowers Rockland With Ease
Suffern, NY - Brookdale baseball continued its strong run of form with a decisive 18-1 victory over the Rockland Community College Hawks, improving to 24-7-1 on the season.

Suffern, NY - Brookdale baseball continued its strong run of form with a decisive 18-1 victory over the Rockland Community College Hawks, improving to 24-7-1 on the season.
Sophomore right fielder Gary Perone III led the charge with a three RBI double, while freshman shortstop Dawson Smail went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Sophomore third baseman Anthony Pizzuti added a two RBI double, and freshman left fielder Nicco Maribo and freshman catcher Gabriel Tomei each contributed two RBI to fuel the offense.
On the mound, Vinny Zaffarese earned the win with a dominant five inning performance, allowing just one hit and keeping the Hawks offense in check.
Brookdale will look to extend its winning streak as they travel to Cranford, NJ to take on the Union College Owls in a nine inning game to open a three game series.
