Cranford, NJ - Brookdale baseball opened its three-game series in dominant fashion, defeating the Union College Owls 22-4 on the road to improve to 25-7-1 on the season.

Cranford, NJ - Brookdale baseball opened its three-game series in dominant fashion, defeating the Union College Owls 22-4 on the road to improve to 25-7-1 on the season.
Sophomore Ray Mulhern led the way with a huge 5-for-6 performance that included a triple and four RBI. Sophomore third baseman Anthony Pizzuti stayed hot, going 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI, while sophomore left fielder Nicco Maribo drove in three runs in a 1-for-2 outing. Freshman catcher Ryan Adams and freshman first baseman LJ Santiago each added doubles and two RBI apiece. On the mound, sophomore Dylan Swanson earned his first win of the season, throwing 2.0 innings with three strikeouts while allowing no hits.
The Jersey Blues will look to complete the series sweep at home when they host Union for a doubleheader on Saturday, April 18th beginning at 12:00pm.
