Blues Advance With Strong Final Four Victory Over Camden
Camden, NJ - The No. 2 Brookdale Community College baseball team earned an 11-7 victory over the No. 6 seeded Camden County College Cougars in the Region 19 Final Four Tournament at Rutgers University-Camden.
Camden, NJ - The No. 2 Brookdale Community College baseball team earned an 11-7 victory over the No. 6 seeded Camden County College Cougars in the Region 19 Final Four Tournament at Rutgers University-Camden.
Freshman shortstop Dawson Smail led the Jersey Blues offense with a 3-for-5 performance that included a triple and three RBI. Sophomore left fielder Nicco Maribo went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI, while sophomore center fielder Ray Mulhern added two hits and two RBI of his own. Freshman catcher Ryan Adams also provided a big moment for Brookdale, blasting a home run to help power the offense.
On the mound, sophomore Luke Roccesano earned the win, improving to 3-2 after pitching 4.0 innings with six strikeouts while allowing just two hits and one walk.
With the victory, the Jersey Blues advance to face the No. 4 seeded Middlesex College Blue Colts on Friday, May 15th at 12:00pm at the Rutgers-Camden baseball field.
