The Jersey Blues Buck The Bronx Community College Broncos

Lincroft, NJ - Thre Jersey Blues men's basketball team hosted the Bronx Community College Broncos and added another win to their record. Brookdale defeated the Broncos, 100-76, and are currently 7-0 overall.

Brookdale set the tone early in the game with an 11-2 lead and continued a double-digit lead throughout the entire first half. Only in the second half did the Blues change up some subs and allowed the Broncos to get within 10 points. With adjustments made again, Brookdale recovered, restored, and pushed the lead to over 20 points, then coasted the remainder of the game. 

The top scorer for the Blues was freshman guard, Kevin Mateo, who dropped 20 points, as sophomore guard, Fres Cabrera, hit for 19 with 10 rebounds and six assists. Freshman forward, Niles Halliburton, accumulated 16 points, freshman forward, Devin Strickland, added 10 points, and freshman center, Tim Gjonballa, also contributed 10.

On Thursday night, December 9th, at 5:00pm, the Jersey Blues will travel to play the Ocean County College Vikings.
