Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues men's soccer team fought through the dreary rains to fetch a win against the Bergen Community College Bulldogs, 2-0.
With a stagnant start, the Blues contended for the first goal of the game at the end of the first half. Freshman defender, David Radwanski, served a 60 yard diagonal ping behind the defense where perfectly placed freshman forward, Ryan Gannon, was positioned. Gannon then sprinted onto the ball to beat the incoming keeper and connected with a one-touch flick off of the keepers head to give the Blues a 1-0 lead.
The Blues sealed off all scoring in the 15th min of the 2nd half when a defender slid into freshman midfielder, Enir Radoncic, as he buried a one-time shot in the lower corner. Due to the inclement weather, the game was stopped in the 72nd minute as the Blues earned the win.
The Brookdale men are currently 3-1-1, and will face the Manor College Blue Jays on the road, Saturday, September 25th at 12:00pm.
