Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale Community College men's soccer lost 3-1 in a conference battle against the Bergen Community College Bulldogs.
Bergen opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a ball played back from the end line to the top of the box for the finish. Ten minutes later, Bergen doubled their lead on a cross to the far post.
In the 61st minute, Bergen added an insurance goal after capitalizing on a turnover at the top of the box.
Brookdale responded in the 68th minute when sophomore midfielder, Wyatt Vicente, poked a ball through to sophomore midfielder, Alessandro Principato, who slotted it low into the far corner to cut the deficit. The Jersey Blues carried momentum in the second half, creating more chances but ultimately unable to find the back of the net again.
Freshman goalkeeper Klaud Martyna kept Brookdale in the match with an impressive 15 saves.
Brookdale (4-5) will be on the road to take on the CC Morris Titans on Tuesday, September 30th, beginning at 4:00pm.
