Men's Soccer Displays Dominant Performance Over CC Morris
Randolph, NJ - The Brookdale Community College men's soccer team displayed a dominant perforrnance over the CC Morris Titans in their 5-0 victory on the road.
Randolph, NJ - The Brookdale Community College men's soccer team displayed a dominant performance over the CC Morris Titans in their 5-0 victory on the road.
In the 10th minute, freshman defender Zion Tomlinson split the defense with a through ball that set up sophomore midfielder Wyatt Vicente, who finished high at the near post to open the scoring.
In the 24th, sophomore outside back Travis Burke whipped a cross through the back line, finding freshman midfielder Jorge Cruz for a composed finish at the near post. The Blues extended their lead in the 38th minute when sophomore midfielder Alessandro Principato slipped a pass through the defense to spring Vicente, who dribbled past the keeper and tapped in his second of the match.
In the 65th minute, Vicente turned provider, redirecting a ball into the path of freshman defender Declan Smith, who smashed home a volley into the top corner. Finally, in the 85th, Principato capped off the scoring in style, striking a dipping ball from 25 yards out that went bar down to seal the 5-0 victory.
Brookdale (5-5) will be home for their next game as they host the Montgomery County Community College Mustangs on Saturday, October 5th, at 2:00pm.
