Nassau Lions Hold Off Blues In Four Set Battle
Garden City, NY - The Brookdale Community College men’s volleyball team came up short against the Nassau Community College Lions, falling 3-1 in a competitive four-set matchup. The Lions claimed the victory with set scores of 25-14, 26-28, 25-14, and 25-15.
Garden City, NY - The Brookdale Community College men's volleyball team came up short against the Nassau Community College Lions, falling 3-1 in a competitive four-set matchup. The Lions claimed the victory with set scores of 25-14, 26-28, 25-14, and 25-15.
Brookdale showed resilience throughout the contest, highlighted by a thrilling second-set win where the Jersey Blues edged Nassau 28-26 to even the match. Freshman middle hitter Logan Ash led the Jersey Blues with an impressive 13 kills, continuing to be a consistent force at the net. Freshman outside hitter Mauricio Catalan contributed nine kills, while freshman middle hitter Jayden Preston added seven kills along with two blocks to support the attack.
Now 6-8 on the season, the Jersey Blues will look to bounce back on their home court when they host the Passaic County Community College Panthers in the Collins Arena on Wednesday, March 25th at 6:00 p.m.
