Brookdale Rolls Through Tri-Match With Commanding Victories

Bryn Mawr, PA — The Brookdale Community College men's volleyball team delivered an impressive road performance, earning back to back victories in a tri-match against the Harcum College Bears and the Union College Owls.

In the opening match, the Jersey Blues took down the Bears in a 3-1 victory with set scores of 25-15, 22-25, 25-22, 25-19. Brookdale set the tone early with aggressive serving and consistent offensive execution. Sophomore setter Travis Burke led the charge from the service line with an outstanding 14 aces.

At the net, freshman middle hitter Logan Ash paced the offense with 13 kills, while freshman outside hitter Mauricio Catalan added 12 kills. Freshman middle hitter Jayden Preston contributed 10 kills, and sophomore middle hitter Jahki Willis chipped in seven kills along with three aces to round out a balanced team effort.

The momentum carried into the second match as Brookdale secured another 3-1 win, this time over the Owls with scores of 25-22, 25-18, 18-25, 25-15.

Preston led the way with 13 kills and four blocks, showcasing his presence on both sides of the net. Willis added 10 kills and five blocks, while Ash and sophomore outside hitter Jacob Krol each recorded 12 kills. Catalan continued his strong play with 11 kills in the match.

Brookdale (9-8) will return home for their regular season finale against the Ocean County College Vikings on Monday, March 30th at 6:00pm.
