Brookdale Men's Cross Country Finishes 2nd At Region Championship
Lancaster, PA - The Brookdale Community College men's cross country team turned in an impressive performance at the Region 19 Championships at Lancaster County Central Park, PA, finishing second overall in the 8K race.
Lancaster, PA - The Brookdale Community College men's cross country team turned in an impressive performance at the Region 19 Championships at Lancaster County Central Park, PA, finishing second overall in the 8K race.
Freshman Walter Heffner led the Jersey Blues with a third-place overall finish, setting the tone for a strong team effort. Sophomore Andrew Lorig followed close behind in sixth place, while freshman Charles Doolittle crossed the line in eighth.
Sophomores Harmon Haas and Gavin Tay ran nearly side by side, finishing just one second apart to take 12th and 13th place, respectively. Freshman Angel Hernandez claimed 21st, and sophomore Fredson Rodriguez-Segovia finished 27th. Rounding out Brookdale's lineup was sophomore Diego Alva and freshman Jason Ritter, who placed 28th and 29th.
With their strong showing, the Jersey Blues have earned a spot in the National Championships, set to be held in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on Friday, November 7th. Brookdale will look to carry its momentum and competitive spirit onto the national stage.
