Jersey Blues Dominate On The Road With Statement Sweep

Bethlehem, PA – The Brookdale Community College softball team delivered a commanding performance on the road, sweeping the Northampton Community College Spartans in a doubleheader, 9-4 and 12-0, to improve their record to 16-6 on the season.

In game one, the Jersey Blues showcased timely hitting and steady pitching to secure the 9-4 victory. Freshman center fielder Sophia Lasater powered the offense, driving in three runs behind two doubles to spark Brookdale's attack. Sophomore pitcher Jules Hart contributed at the plate as well, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, while sophomore second baseman Mya Bonilla added an RBI to keep the momentum rolling.

Hart was equally impressive in the circle, tossing a complete game over 7.0 innings. She struck out eight Spartans while maintaining control throughout, earning her eighth win of the season and improving to 8-3.

The Jersey Blues carried that momentum into game two and left no doubt, overwhelming Northampton in a 12-0 shutout. Brookdale's offense continued to fire on all cylinders, with Bonilla leading the way once again, going 2-for-3 with an RBI. Sophomore pitcher Jadeyn Pavlik also helped her own cause with an RBI at the plate, while freshman catcher Alexa Cebulski added another run-scoring hit to fuel the surge.

Pavlik dominated in the circle, shutting out the Spartans over 5.0 innings in a complete-game effort. Her performance earned her eighth win as well, moving to 8-3 on the season.
