Bats Erupt As Blues Blast Bergen Twice
Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale softball delivered a dominant conference performance, sweeping the Bergen Community College Bulldogs in decisive fashion, 24-0 and 21-2, to improve to 19-9 on the season.

Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale softball delivered a dominant conference performance, sweeping the Bergen Community College Bulldogs in decisive fashion, 24-0 and 21-2, to improve to 19-9 on the season.
In game one, the Jersey Blues offense erupted early and never slowed down. Freshman center fielder Sophia Lasater led the charge with five RBI, while sophomore third baseman Jadeyn Pavlik and freshman catcher Alexa Cebulski each tallied four RBI. Sophomore right fielder Emma Zazzarino and freshman shortstop Adrianna Cruz added three RBI apiece, with Cruz blasting two doubles in the contest. Freshman first baseman Devin Coleman contributed two RBI in a perfect 2-for-2 showing at the plate.
Sophomore pitcher Jules Hart was lights out in the circle, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out nine to secure the shutout victory.
Game two saw more of the same offensive firepower from Brookdale. Hart continued her standout day by going 4-for-5 with four RBI at the plate. Lasater stayed red hot, finishing 4-for-4 with two doubles, while Cruz added another strong performance, batting 4-for-5 with three RBI. Sophomore second baseman Mya Bonilla also drove in three runs to fuel the attack.
Zazzarino and freshman left fielder Katelyn Hernandez each contributed two RBI and a double, while Pavlik added two RBI of her own. Pavlik also earned the win in the circle, improving her record to 9-5 on the season.
With the sweep, the Jersey Blues continue to build momentum and will return home to host the Camden County College Cougars on Tuesday, April 14th at 3:30pm.
