Edison, NJ - Brookdale softball continued its strong season with a commanding doubleheader sweep of the Middlesex College Colts, winning 14-0 and 19-2 to improve to 27-9 overall.

Edison, NJ - Brookdale softball continued its strong season with a commanding doubleheader sweep of the Middlesex College Colts, winning 14-0 and 19-2 to improve to 27-9 overall.
In game one, freshman center fielder Sophia Lasater stayed red hot at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two triples, a double, and three RBI. Sophomore right fielder Emma Zazzarino added a 2-for-3 performance with three RBI, while sophomore pitcher Jules Hart also contributed an RBI. Sophomore third baseman Jadeyn Pavlik went 3-for-4 with an RBI, and freshman left fielder Sophia Costa along with freshman catcher Alexa Cebulski each added RBI singles. Hart was sensational in the circle, improving to 14-4 after throwing a no-hitter with one walk and six strikeouts.
Brookdale kept the momentum rolling in game two with Zazzarino leading the charge by batting 3-for-4 with a triple, a double, and four RBI. Lasater continued her outstanding day, going 3-for-4 with three doubles and three RBI. Hart added a triple, a double, and three RBI of her own, while Cebulski drove in three more runs. Freshman third baseman Isabella Graci chipped in with a two RBI double, and Pavlik earned the win in the circle to improve to 13-5.
The Jersey Blues return home next to host the Salem Community College Mighty Oaks on Thursday, April 23rd at 3:30pm.
