Brookdale Falls In Championship Opener Sets Up Final Showdown
Edison, NJ - The No. 2 Brookdale Community College softball team dropped a hard-fought 7-5 decision to the No. 1 seeded RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners in game one of the Region 19 Tournament Championship series.

Edison, NJ - The No. 2 Brookdale Community College softball team dropped a hard-fought 7-5 decision to the No. 1 seeded RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners in game one of the Region 19 Tournament Championship series.
Freshman center fielder Sophia Lasater delivered a huge offensive performance for the Jersey Blues, batting 3-for-4 with a triple and two monstrous RBI. Freshman shortstop Adrianna Cruz added a two RBI hit, while freshman left fielder Sophia Costa contributed an RBI in her 2-for-4 outing.
With the loss, the Jersey Blues will face RCSJ-Gloucester one final time in a winner take all game to decide the 2026 Region 19 Champions on Monday, May 11th at 5:00pm.
