Adrianna Cruz Named GSAC Player Of The Year

Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale Community College freshman Adrianna Cruz was named the 2026 GSAC Division III Softball Player of the Year after an incredible season for the Jersey Blues.

Cruz played in 48 games and quickly established herself as one of the conference's top all-around players during her freshman campaign. Cruz finished the season with a .503 batting average while totaling 77 hits, 69 runs scored, 44 RBI, and 37 stolen bases. Defensively, she posted a .876 fielding percentage at shortstop while making key plays throughout the season.

Her outstanding play helped lead Brookdale to a share of the GSAC Conference Championship with the RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners, as the Jersey Blues finished with a 26-2 conference record, a 34-14 overall record, and a Region 19 Runner-Up finish.
