Vineland, NJ - Brookdale Community College women's basketball continued its strong stretch of play with a convincing 61–45 victory over the RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes, marking the team's fifth consecutive win and improving its overall record to 8–4.
Freshman guard Leomary Diaz-Merino delivered a standout performance, leading all scorers with 29 points while adding five steals to anchor the Jersey Blues on both ends of the floor. Her offensive spark and defensive pressure set the tone early and carried Brookdale throughout the contest.
Sophomore forward Jocelyn Jackson provided key support in the scoring column, finishing with 15 points, while freshman guard Laila Hagan contributed 12 points and four steals, helping the Jersey Blues maintain control with aggressive perimeter defense.
The Jersey Blues will look to extend their winning streak when they travel to face the Montgomery County Community College Mustangs on Tuesday, January 13th.
