Montgomery Mustangs Muzzled In The Collins Arena
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Community College women’s basketball team delivered a strong defensive performance in a 54-39 home victory over the Montgomery County Community College Mustangs inside the Robert J. Collins Arena. Freshman guard Leomary Diaz-Merino set the tone early and often, pacing the Jersey Blues with 20 points while swiping five steals to fuel Brookdale’s transition play.

Collins Arena. Freshman guard Leomary Diaz-Merino set the tone early and often, pacing the Jersey Blues with 20 points while swiping five steals to fuel Brookdale's transition play.
Freshman guard Jamirah Glanton added a well-rounded effort with 12 points, six assists, and nine rebounds, showcasing her ability to impact every corner of the court. Underneath the rim, freshman center Myricol Burke was a dominant force, hauling in 15 rebounds to help Brookdale control the glass and limit second-chance opportunities for the Mustangs.
With the win, Brookdale improves to 9-11 and continues to build momentum. The Jersey Blues will remain at home for their next matchup as they prepare to take on the Bergen Community College Bulldogs on Tuesday, February 10th, at 5:00pm.
