Lncroft, NJ - The Brookdale Community College women's basketball team earned back-to-back wins over the Northampton Community College Spartans, this time pulling out a thrilling 65-63 overtime victory at home.
Freshman guard Leomary Diaz-Merino delivered another standout performance, leading all scorers with 25 points while adding seven assists and converting all seven attempts at the foul line. Freshman guard Laila Hagan chipped in 14 points, and sophomore guard Jocelyn Jackson added 13 to help power the Jersey Blues through the extra period.
With the win, Brookdale improves to 13-11 overall and 9-8 in conference play. The Blues will now hit the road for their next matchup against the Sussex County Community College Skylanders on Tuesday, February 17th at 5:00pm.
