Newton, NJ - The Brookdale women's soccer team had difficulty managing the aggressive Division II Sussex County College Skylanders in their 6-0 loss yesterday.
The Skylanders overwhelmed Brookdale on offense and gave freshman goalie Emma Bennett a true workout, but Bennett upheld the goal, earning a graceful 23 saves on the day. Additionally, freshman midfielder Paige Coulahan played a strong defensive game and had a big save on the line for Brookdale. Offensively, the Jersey Blues struggled and only took five shots on goal in the loss.
The Jersey Blues (0-2) will face Sussex CC again for their next match up on Thursday, April 22nd, 2:30pm, at Capelli Sports Complex in Tinton Falls, NJ.
