Brookdale Women's Soccer Blank Union College In Season Opener

At the 4:20 minute mark of the Jersey Blues season opener, sophomore midfielder, Taylor Suckey received an assist from sophomore forward, Kyle Wolstencroft to put Brookdale in the immediate lead against the Owls. About eight minutes later, freshman midfielder, Bella Tomassini, scored her first goal of the season with the feed from freshman defender, Natalie Kline. Seconds later, the same duo and scoring method presented itself as Tomassini and Kline advanced the score to 2-0 at 12:50. At 21:23 sophomore defender, Gianna D'Angelo, scored off the foot of freshman midfielder, Emily Murawski. Moments later, Tomassini passed to Murawski for her first goal of the season to close the first half.
In the second half at 49:01, Taylor Suckey scored her second goal of the game with the help of Natalie Kline to push the score to 6-0. Murawski found herself in the mix again by scoring at 55:12 with the assist coming from sophomore midfielder, Emma Petrocelli. Twenty seconds later, Wolstencroft, stuck it in the net with an unassisted goal to post an 8-0 lead. The final dagger goal was plunged at 62:50 and ended the game with the same combo as it started, Suckey scored and Wolstencroft assisted.
Brookdale will host their first home game of the season next against the Fashion Institute of Technology Tigers on Saturday, September 13th, at 12:00pm.
