Brookdale’s Gianna D’Angelo Named GSAC Division III Women’s Soccer Player Of The Week

Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale Community College freshman defender Gianna D'Angelo has been named the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Division III Women's Soccer Player of the Week for her outstanding performances during the week of October 6–12, 2025.

D'Angelo made an inspiring return to the field after overcoming a significant injury, showcasing remarkable resilience and determination throughout the week. She anchored the Jersey Blues' defensive line in a 3–0 shutout win over RCSJ–Cumberland, where her composure and toughness helped neutralize the opponent's attack and preserve the clean sheet.

D'Angelo followed that effort with a commanding two-way performance in an 8–0 victory over Atlantic Cape, where she not only controlled the defensive third but also made a major offensive contribution. Pushing forward late in the match, she scored two goals to cap off Brookdale's dominant performance.

Her leadership, versatility, and competitive spirit were instrumental in Brookdale's back-to-back wins, reinforcing her role as a cornerstone of the team's success and a key contributor to the Jersey Blues' strong season.
