Jones Places First At Jersey Blues Invitational

Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Community College cross country team hosted their annual Jersey Blues Invitational on the beautiful Lincroft campus on Sunday, September 28th.

Sophomore Georgia Jones was the first to cross the line in the 5k race out of six teams for the women with a time of 22:40. She is the first Brookdale female to win the Jersey Blues Invitational. For Georgia, it was her first win in both her college and high school careers. Additionally, Jones was the first-ever female first place winner in Head Coach Mike Tursi's 37 year career.

Brookdale will be off and running next at the NJIT Highlander Invitational at Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ, on Saturday, October 11th, beginning at 12:15pm.
