Paramus, NJ - Brookdale Community College picked up a key 66-50 conference victory over the Bergen Community College Bulldogs, continuing strong play on the road. The Jersey Blues set the tone early and maintained control throughout the contest with consistent defense and efficient scoring.
Freshman guard Laila Hagan led all scorers with an outstanding 27-point performance, powering Brookdale on the offensive end. Freshman guard Leomary Diaz-Merino followed with 15 points, while freshman guard Jamirah Glanton added 12 points to round out the scoring for the Jersey Blues.
With the win, Brookdale Community College improves to 4-4 on the season. Brookdale will remain on the road as they prepare to take on the Camden County College Cougars on Saturday, September 6th, with tip-off scheduled for 12:00pm.
