Women's Volleyball Advocate For ALS Awareness During CC Philly Match Win
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Community College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) partnered with the women's volleyball team to host an Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Awareness event during their game against the Community College of Philadelphia Lions. The Jersey Blues improved their overall record to 11-2 after sweeping the Community College of Philadelphia Lions 3-0 on their home floor, 25-7,25-3, 25-13.

SAAC as well as the women's volleyball team felt strongly about supporting and advocating for the disease by wearing colorful and creatively designed t-shirts for the team to wear during warm-ups while posting on all social media outlets to shed light on the disease.
Leading the Jersey Blues in their 3-0 win was sophomore outside hitter, Alana Pytel, who whipped the Lions back with 11 kills and 12 serving aces. Freshman outside hitter, Gemma Ferris, was instrumental with her 13 kills in the defeat.
Brookdale will be on the road for their next three matches beginning with the RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners on Saturday, October 11th beginning at 12:00pm.
